BÖÖ COLLABORATION

I am currently involved in a collaboration making a book in a box on the theme on Shamanism. These two images about domestic rituals/shamanism will be soon be screen printed for this. We will sell the finished box at the Glasgow international Artists Book Fair in April.

PENGUIN DESIGN AWARD 2012

I have finally finished my cover for Penguin Design award, well, there are a few tweaks more to be made but here it is!

WATERCOLOURS

This afternoon I have been playing around with watercolours. I find it so hard to paint with watercolours and I envy people who do it well. I have never been very happy with a watercolour painting and I always get very frustrated when I try to use them. I think that I don't like that I can't control them, but then the watercolour paintings I like the most are the messy ones that just look like happy accidents. That is why I decided to give this medium yet another chance. One of my favourite artists that use watercolours is the Swedish artist Lars Lerin, he makes large moody paintings of landscapes and they often include a lonely house and and an ominous sky. The way he paints the light is just amazing.

MULHOLLAND DRIVE POSTER

This poster will be exhibited at the exhibition WILD AT HEART AND WEIRD ON at the Filmhouse in Edinburgh from the 20th of February until the 12th of March alongside viewings of David Lynch's films. A limited edition of 12 will be on sale at the exhibition and if there are any left after that they will appear in my Etsy shop.

MEAT

Strangely I find it much more fascinating to draw meat than to eat it.
